Our Policies

Check in: 1300 hrs

Check out: 1200 hrs

Late check out: Up to 4 hours of extra time is allowed on request and depending on the actual availability of rooms for incoming guests.

Children staying with parents:

Those aged below 12 and sharing rooms/beds with their parents get free accommodation.
Extra bed(s) or food will be billed separately as per the prevailing rates.

Cancellation:

If filed 14 days or more before the expeceted check-in date, no fines required.
From 14 to 3 days prior to the check in date - 25% of the booking amount will be deducted.
Cancellations made from1 to 3 days prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation charge equivalent to 35% of the booking deposit.
Any subsequent cancellation or no-show faces a 50% deduction from the booking amount.

Other Disclosures:

Our rates are quoted in US Dollars all taxes (13% VAT) and service charge (10%) are already included.

About Us

We are one of the pioneer hoteliers of Dhulikhel. When all Dhulikhel was covered with wild vegetation and a handful of human settlement, we dared to open Dhulikhel Mountain Resort with one vision in mind - to provide a quality vacation blended with natural charm. That was back in 1981. Two generations of a family have run this property, around 30 years have passed - and Dhulikhel Mountain Resort has stood up to its original vision.

Even today we are the pioneers of hospitality and we know best how your interests are served. We welcome you wholeheartedly to our resort for unique and lifelike experiences - all in the laps of mother nature.

Sustainability
We are aware about the society from where we render our services. What better way to experience the locality than with a local? Imagine yourself undertaking an organic-farming training along with a local staff! Or getting guided through hills and forests of Dhulikhel - it all happens right here at DMR. We extensively use local products and manpower and are proud to state that about 90% of our staff are local people. As novices they undergo a number of trainings so that their skills relevant to hospitality, are sharpened. Discrimination is not an issue here since everyone is generously provided for. In addition, we provide extended support to our retired staff. This has been going on for more than two decades now.

Our cultural initiatives include a guided tour of the local culture so that you can understand the way of life there. We encourage our guests to respect the local custom and help them learn the etiquettes through the use of various printed materials made available to you. The architecture of our individual rooms and building units reflect local housing patterns while our entire furniture is made out of materials from nearby conserved forests.

We welcome you to volunteer in one of our environmental projects - especially during cleanup campaigns. You can get involved during the conversion process of roof-straw into ash that can be further used as manure. We discourage the misuse of water attested by our use of improved flush-systems. Our kitchen-waste do not waste away as dump, instead, they are used as compost manure.
